Collection: Cherry Blossom Collection Dean McKee Original

A Beautiful Gift from Dean Upon Release from Prison
Thanks to the Innocence Project of Florida, Dean was exonerated and released from prison in 2018. Before his release, he created this cherry blossom drawing as a card for his fiancé, Danie.  He never had the chance to send it, but he was able to give it to her in person after his release. He used color pencils that he traded for to create the stunning design.

Dean's story is one of hope and perseverance in the face of adversity. Despite the challenges he faced during his time in prison, he never lost sight of the things that were most important to him, such as his love for his fiancé. While he was unable to send this beautiful cherry blossom card to her while he was incarcerated, the fact that he was able to hand it to her in person upon his release is a testament to his strength and determination.

The card itself is a stunning piece of artwork, showcasing Dean's incredible talent as an artist. The delicate cherry blossoms are a symbol of renewal and hope, and it's clear that they held a special meaning for Dean and his fiancé during their time apart. It's heartwarming to know that this card was able to bring them closer together and serve as a reminder of their love for each other.

Dean's story is just one of many that highlights the importance of organizations like the Innocence Project of Florida, who work tirelessly to help exonerate those who have been wrongfully convicted. Through their efforts, individuals like Dean are given a second chance at life, and are able to reconnect with the people and things that matter most to them.
